A family has been left devastated after losing a loved one to Asbestos cancer and seeking justice for his death.
Wilfried Colin Cammack (known as Colin) lost his life on the 5th of November 2020, just three months after being diagnosed with cancer. Colin’s family have decided to investigate the cause of his death as they believe it was related to some of his previous occupations.
Donna, Colin’s daughter, has been looking into her father’s death with legal representatives to identify whether he could have come into contact with Asbestos whilst working for different companies. These investigations were focussing on the working conditions Colin faced whilst working in two companies in Wakefield, Drake and Warters and Harlow Milner, in the 1960s and 1970s. He also worked throughout the 1980s to 2000s for various businesses which were also being investigated.
Donna says, “It’s been nearly two years since we lost Dad and it’s still incredibly difficult to accept he’s no longer here. Before his illness, he enjoyed travelling, watching cowboy films and spending time with his family.”
Colin was a family man who lived with Donna and her sister Maxine as well as his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. His absence has been greatly felt by those close to him and the search to get justice for the cause of his death is ongoing.
